Startup business needs advice!

So i am almost at the point in where i can begin to set up my business.
The only trouble is money. I am not sure whether to seek a business loan or gain investment from a business partner through a start-up organization.
Need some advice! any help would be greatly appreciated!
any ideas on what people have done or what works!
